Software Engineer – Backend

We are currently looking for self-driven, passionate and results focused Back-End Developers to be a part of our API/Server-side team that will be dedicated to managing the interchange of data between the server and the users.

You will:

• Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy new features, improvements and upgrades to scalable software and services
• Work with project management and support teams on software design, development, testing and evaluation of potential technical solutions
• Help identify and implement best practices in engineering processes across the team
• Ensure positive and constructive discussions with support and other development teams
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to improve usability
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
• Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, you are well-organized and self-motivated

You should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Solid understanding of computer science concepts (data structures, networking, concurrency, memory management, algorithm analysis, etc)
• Experience with code versioning tools (Git) and modern build pipelines and tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additionally, we’d love it if you have:

• Experience with Test-Driven Development and agile methodologies
• Experience with Go or another systems language
• Knowledge of SQL and MySQL, and if you know about Galera then we’ll be really impressed
